Overview
myIR35 Complete Tool
Workwell myIR35 Complete is an IR35 assessment tool that provides recruiters, hirers, and workers the ability to carry out IR35 assessments. The tool is available at https://myir35complete.com/.
A recruiter led assessment journey within the tool includes a recruiter creating an assessment request and send it to an end-hirer manager to assess a role for IR35. An assessment request includes details about the assignment, worker (where available), and the end hirer details where the request will be sent. Once an end hirer receives an assessment request, they are presented with a series of questions that they must answer for assessing a role. The answers submitted by the end hirer are fed back to myIR35 Complete which runs an algorithm behind the scenes to calculate an outcome.
The assessment outcome can be either Inside IR35, Outside IR35, or Worker Determined and a PDF report is generated. The outcome report includes the details of the recruiter, hirer, and worker and the questions, their corresponding answers and supporting arguments. A copy of the report is first sent to the recruiter who initiated the assessment request and can approve the report to be shared with the worker from the myIR35 Complete portal. When the worker receives the report, the worker is also presented with the pre-configured choices to choose an engagement option such as umbrella or an accountancy services of an agency’s preferred partner.
myIR35 Complete portal also has the dispute mechanism where a worker can request a re-assessment which a hirer can accept or reject. A re-assessment can only be carried out once and a new report is generated if a re-assessment is carried out.
Please note that myIR35 Complete portal also provides the ability to carry out client led, worker led and direct engagement assessments, however, these are outside the scope for the currently available APIs.
Assessment API
myIR35 Complete Assessment API provides integration abilities for recruiter led assessments where an assessment request can be created by providing recruiter, hirer, and worker details.
Once an assessment request has been successfully created through the API, myIR35Complete tool engine will kick off and deliver emails to the hirer manger and present the hirer with myIR35Complete portal to answer the questions.
Once the hirer completes the assessment, myIR35Complete tool engine will set the assessment stage to ‘Completed by Hirer’ and generate an assessment outcome report in a PDF format.
The connecting platform can read the assessment outcome (Inside IR35, Outside IR35 or Worker Determined) and the generated report at various stages of the assessment as highlighted in the table below.
The connecting platform may also choose to poll the assessment stage at regular interval (daily, hourly etc.) to check the assessment stage where the assessment outcome and the report is available.
